Granite worktops are probably the best investment you can make when you get a new kitchen and they last far longer than cheaper alternatives. They also look a lot better and add a touch of luxury to any kitchen. With this in mind you will no doubt want to make the most of your granite worktops and here’s how…

Add a kitchen island
Adding an island to your kitchen will really give it the wow factor if you have enough space to include it in your design. They make excellent use of your kitchen space and can only add to the amount of granite you have on display. Islands have been around for many years and there is no danger of them going out of fashion any time soon.

Introduce a breakfast bar

Breakfast bars can be an alternative to having an island or incorporated as part of one. Either way they can make extra space not just for breakfast but also quick meals without having to sit at a table. Again if the surface of your breakfast bar is granite, it will add to the luxury feel of your kitchen.

Add curves
If you like a curvaceous kitchen then why not add curves to your granite worktops. Granite worktops can be cut to whatever shape you require and curved edges are much safer when you have young children around.
